Billing & Plans

Tiller offers three ways to deploy: All-in-One (€19/mo, AI keys included), Flex (from €3/mo, bring your own keys), or BYOK (free platform, use your own Hetzner account).

All-in-One (Recommended)

Everything included at a flat €19/mo.

  • Managed hosting (2 vCPU, 4GB RAM, 40GB SSD)

  • AI keys included via Askonoma
  • No API accounts needed
  • Full terminal & SSH access

Flex (Managed Hosting)

We handle the hosting for a simple monthly fee. You bring your own AI keys.

  • From €3/month (varies by server size)

Server Sizes (Flex)

  • Starter (2 vCPU, 2GB RAM, 20GB SSD) — €3/mo
  • Builder (4 vCPU, 4GB RAM, 40GB SSD) — €6/mo
  • Pro (6 vCPU, 8GB RAM, 80GB SSD) — €12/mo

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

Use your own Hetzner account. Tiller is free.

  • Your own Hetzner account (pay them directly)
  • Your own Claude/OpenAI API keys
  • Full terminal & SSH access
  • No monthly fee from Tiller

How Billing Works

All-in-One

We bill €19/mo via Stripe. This covers both managed hosting and AI access via Askonoma. Server costs are prorated if you create or delete mid-month.

Flex (Managed Hosting)

We bill monthly via Stripe based on your server size. Server costs are prorated if you create or delete mid-month.

BYOK (Free)

No billing through Tiller. You pay Hetzner directly for your servers. Tiller doesn't charge anything for your first server. Additional servers are €5/mo.

Infrastructure Costs (BYOK)

With BYOK, you pay Hetzner directly for server costs.

Payment Methods

We use Stripe for secure payment processing. To manage your payment methods:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Manage Payment Methods
  3. You'll be redirected to Stripe's Customer Portal

Invoices

View and download invoices from the Billing page. Each invoice shows:

  • Invoice date
  • Amount charged
  • Payment status

Click the download icon to get a PDF copy for your records.

API Costs

For Flex and BYOK, AI API costs (Claude, OpenAI) are billed directly by those providers. Tiller never touches your API billing for these plans.

For All-in-One, AI access is included in your €19/mo fee — powered by our sister company Askonoma.

Failed Payments

If a payment fails for a managed server:

  1. You'll receive an email notification
  2. A warning will appear on your Billing page
  3. Update your payment method in the Stripe Customer Portal to resolve
