Terms and Conditions
Effective from: 01-02-2026
1. Introduction
Tiller ("we", "us", or "Tiller") is operated by Ryde Ventures B.V., a company incorporated in the Netherlands.
Tiller provides a service that simplifies the setup and operation of OpenClaw-based environments, either in a user-managed setup or through hosting provided by us.
By accessing or using Tiller, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Tiller.
By using Tiller, you confirm that:
- you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and
- the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Account Registration and Security
To use Tiller, you must create an account.
You are responsible for:
- maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, and
- all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach.
We are not responsible for losses resulting from compromised credentials caused by your actions or negligence.
4. The Service
Tiller provides a service that simplifies the setup and operation of OpenClaw-based environments.
Depending on the selected package, Tiller:
- prepares and installs OpenClaw and related components,
- applies predefined configuration templates,
- enables users to run OpenClaw either in their own environment or on infrastructure hosted by us.
Tiller does not act as a general-purpose infrastructure provider and does not offer custom infrastructure design, consulting, or optimization services.
The service is intended to streamline deployment and operation, not to replace your responsibility for how the system is used.
Service Packages
Tiller is offered under two service packages. The applicable package is determined by your selection at the time of purchase or use.
A. Self-Managed Deployment
Under the Self-Managed package:
- Tiller assists with installing and configuring OpenClaw using predefined setups.
- The system runs in your own hosting or cloud environment.
- You are fully responsible for:
- infrastructure security and maintenance,
- system configuration, updates, and backups,
- data protection and compliance obligations.
Once setup is completed, Tiller does not manage, monitor, or operate your environment.
B. Managed Hosting
Under the Managed Hosting package:
- Tiller hosts and operates the OpenClaw environment on your behalf.
- We are responsible for:
- maintaining the hosted environment,
- applying updates and patches to the system,
- basic monitoring and infrastructure-level incident response.
You remain responsible for:
- the content and data processed within the system,
- managing access for end users,
- ensuring your use complies with applicable laws.
Unless explicitly agreed in writing, no service level agreement (SLA) applies.
5. Third-Party Services and Software
Tiller integrates with third-party services and open-source software, including but not limited to OpenClaw.
Your use of such third-party services is subject to their own terms and licenses.
We are not responsible for outages, changes, failures, or security incidents caused by third-party software or providers.
6. User Data and Credentials
Self-Managed Deployment
If you use the Self-Managed package, you may provide provider credentials or API keys to enable setup. You confirm that:
- you have the right to use and provide these credentials, and
- you are solely responsible for their security and correct configuration.
We are not responsible for misuse, exposure, or loss of data resulting from credentials you provide.
Managed Hosting
If you use the Managed Hosting package:
- we manage infrastructure-level credentials,
- user data is processed only to operate the hosted service,
- appropriate technical and organizational security measures are applied.
We do not access or use your data except as necessary to operate the service or comply with legal obligations.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use Tiller to:
- violate applicable laws or regulations,
- operate systems intended for illegal, harmful, or abusive activities,
- interfere with or disrupt the service or related systems,
- attempt to bypass security or access controls.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
8. Fees and Payments
Certain features of Tiller require payment.
Prices, billing cycles, and payment terms are presented at the time of purchase.
We may update pricing with reasonable notice.
Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access.
We are not responsible for loss of data or configurations following suspension due to non-payment.
9. Consumer Right of Withdrawal (EU / Netherlands)
If you are an EU consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Wet Koop op Afstand.
By purchasing paid access and using the service immediately, you explicitly agree that:
- service delivery begins immediately, and
- your right of withdrawal expires once the service has been fully performed.
To exercise your withdrawal right (where applicable), contact: support@tiller.sh
10. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in Tiller, including software, branding, and documentation, belong to Ryde Ventures B.V. or its licensors.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Tiller in accordance with these Terms.
11. Warranties and Disclaimers
Tiller is provided "as is" and "as available."
Self-Managed Deployment
We do not warrant that:
- the setup will meet your specific requirements,
- your environment will be secure or error-free,
- third-party services will operate without interruption.
Managed Hosting
For Managed Hosting, we use commercially reasonable efforts to:
- keep the hosted environment operational,
- apply updates and patches,
- respond to infrastructure-level incidents.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ryde Ventures B.V. shall not be liable for:
- indirect or consequential damages,
- loss of data, revenue, or business,
- security incidents affecting your environment,
- costs incurred through third-party services.
Liability related to failures, data loss, or incidents is limited to the scope of the service package used.
Tiller bears no responsibility for environments operated under the Self-Managed package.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Tiller in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access:
- for violations of these Terms,
- for legal or regulatory reasons,
- to protect the integrity of the service.
Termination does not relieve you of payment obligations already incurred.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice.
Continued use of Tiller after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
